Joana Carvalho (PhD in Psychology) is the director of the Sexual Behavior and Health Lab (SexBeHealth) at the University of Aveiro and the William James Center for Research. Carvalho researchers in the field of human sexuality, with special emphasis on sexual violence. Carvalho has been recognized by the Portuguese Board of Psychologists in clinical and health psychology, forensic psychology, and sexology. She is the president of the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology and an expert member of the National Health in Schools Program at the Ministry of Health in Portugal.

Danai Tselenti (Ph.D. in Sociology) is currently a researcher at the Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Aveiro and an external collaborator of the Center for Psychology at the University of Porto. Her interdisciplinary research bridges media studies, sex research, and criminology, with a particular focus on qualitative methodologies. She has published in high-impact journals, including The Journal of Sex Research, Policing and Society, and Sexual Medicine Reviews, and has contributed to international research projects funded by FCT and Horizon 2020. She serves as a reviewer for over ten international peer-reviewed journals.

Samuel Silva (PhD in Informatics Engineering) is an Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro, a researcher at IEETA, and a member of LASI. Adopting a human-centred engineering perspective, his work spans Human-Computer Interaction, Multimodal Interaction, Visual Computing, Extended Reality, and Experimental Psychology, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration. His contributions to experimental psychology research include the design and deployment of complex experimental paradigms and the preparation of controlled visual stimuli for studies on perception, emotion, and social cognition.

Isabel M. Santos holds a PhD in Psychology by the University of York, UK, and is an Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro, Department of Education and Psychology, where she is currently the director of the undergraduate degree in Psychology and coordinator of the NeuroLab. She is an integrated member of the William James Center for Research (WJCR), collaborator of the RISE-Health and a licensed psychologist by the Order of Portuguese Psychologists. Her research interests cover psycho-oncology, face processing, chronopsychology, and applications of psychology to other domains.

Pedro J. Rosa (PhD in Psychology) is an Associate Professor at Lusófona University and currently the Head of the Experimental Psychology Lab at ISMAT – Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes. His research focuses on affective and cognitive oculometry (eye tracking), psychophysiology, statistics and psychometrics. He is the founder and mentor of the International Conference on Eye Tracking, Visual Cognition and Emotion (ETVCE) and the National Meeting on Affective and Cognitive Oculometry, in Portugal. In 2016, he received the Merit Research Award from the Portuguese Society of Health Psychology (SPPS).

Simone Malafaia is a research fellow in the SexAnthRobotics project at the University of Aveiro. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Psychology and Neuropsychology from the University of Aveiro. Her research interests focus on human sexuality and experimental research in psychology.
